Jenna Mate is a composer/lyricist, director, and performer who has been writing music since the age of six. Her passion for musical theater led her to Syracuse University, where she earned her BFA. She also holds an MFA in Directing from Stony Brook University and an MA in Educational Theatre from University of Houston. Jenna is on the faculty at New York Film Academy, where she teaches Acting and Voice. Recent directing credits include Art (John Drew Theater) and A Steady Rain (Guild Hall.) She continues to write and develop original musicals and enjoys collaborating with artists on new work!
Bethie Fowler is a Brooklyn-based playwright with an MFA from SUNY Stony Brook and an MA from Trinity College Dublin. She is the literary manager of Elephant Run District, an indie theater and film company in New York City. She is delighted to be working on ECO, her first ever musical with the incredibly talented Jenna Mate.
